What is the Camino de Santiago group on EngrApp?

It is the meeting group for pilgrims on the EngrApp platform. It is a place where you can access interesting fixed locations for the community from the palm of your hand and, in real time, contact hostel owners when they become visible, as well as any pilgrim who becomes visible as anonymous points, with the intention of facilitating encounters.

To access the group information, the first thing you need to do is access the EngrApp platform through the free app available on Android or iOS.

Then, scan the QR code or search for the "Camino de Santiago" group in the public groups search option in EngrApp.

Does it cost anything to belong to the group?

No, both downloading and using EngrApp, as well as joining the group, are completely free.

What information do I receive once I'm in the group?

Information related to the Camino de Santiago is shared among all group members through the chat, and especially geolocated information shared by responsible people from different hostels and companies in the sector.

- Other pilgrims visible as anonymous points when they have their visibility activated and you have yours, which allows you to locate the atmosphere of the Camino anywhere along the route.

- Fixed points of interest: hostels, notable locations, etc., with information about them so you can go to them if you wish.

- Special profiles of hostel managers, so you can contact them if desired.

I'm already in the group, but I don't see any moving dots. Why could that be?

Remember that to see other dots (other pilgrims sharing their position as anonymous points), you need to share your own point. In other words, you need to make yourself visible on the map. You will see yourself with your image, but the rest of the people will see you as an anonymous point, just like you see other pilgrims. To make yourself visible in the group, you can follow these steps become visible.

When I go to the list of group members, I see very few participants. Why is this?

Users are not visible in the group. The contacts you see are only from people who have special permissions to mark points of interest or who can have a special identifying profile on the map when they become visible. The rest of the users, the regular users, do not appear in the list of members, but... we are there 😊

How can I leave the Camino de Santiago group?

By clicking on the "leave group" button in the group options screen, you will exit the group and will no longer be able to see the shared information. To rejoin the group, you will need to rescan the QR code for access or search for the group in the public group search.

Once you have left the group, if you choose to, you can continue using the rest of the existing public groups on the platform and private groups with your contacts.

If you additionally want to permanently exit the app, on the general profile screen, the logout option allows the user to permanently log out of EngrApp until you log in again.
